“E” said, “V” said - Startable according to V

The Startable blog has been started as a way for Prasad, a young entrepreneur (”E” said), and me, a young venture capitalist (”V” said), to share our ideas on starting new companies with the world, and hopefully for us to hear the opinions of smart, experienced people in the startup community. I’ll be writing from my perspective as a new(ish) venture investor. You should expect my opinions to change as I become more experienced and listen to your feedback.

At first we are planning on having 3 main topics, although we may change this going forward. My takes on these topics are:

Startable - What to think about when you first start your startup. Who do you want on your founding team, what are the first things you should ask your self, where should you start… Hopefully the list will grow to have some interesting topics!

Fundable - If you decide your company should search for funding, how should you go about it. What are the first things you need to think about as you are raising outside capital.

New Ideas - What new things are Prasad and I coming across? What do we see that we like? We are obviously going to take suggestions from the crowd too!

We’re likely to add to this list and modify each category a bit. Since Prasad will be posting how and what he wants, and I will be doing the same and responding to him, hopefully we’ll get some snappy dialog going.
